gotchu ("we") is an AI receptionist service for local service businesses. This page says plainly what we collect, why, and what your choices are.
If you just visit this website
- We record basic, first-party page views (which page, when) to understand traffic. We run this ourselves — no third-party ad trackers, no advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share visitor data.
If you request a callback
- We collect what you type: your name, business name, phone number, trade, and any note. We use it for exactly one thing — calling and texting you back about gotchu.
- We never sell this information or add you to third-party marketing lists. Reply STOP to any text and we stop texting.
If your business uses gotchu
- Calls answered by your AI receptionist are recorded and transcribed so the service can work and so you can see exactly what happened on your line. Callers are told at the start of every call that they're speaking with an AI and that the call may be recorded.
- Call data (recordings, transcripts, caller numbers) belongs to your business relationship with your customers. We use it to run the service, help you review calls, and improve your own AI's answers — not to advertise, and never to sell.
- Voice processing runs on our AI telephony provider's infrastructure; data is stored with our database provider. Both are bound by their own security and data-protection terms.
- When you cancel, we delete your business's call recordings and transcripts on request — ask and it's done.
Security
Access to operational data requires staff accounts with mandatory two-factor authentication, and database-level rules ensure clients can only ever see their own data.
